We are thrilled to announce that this 11th season, PYO with College of Music, 國立臺灣師範大學 National Taiwan Normal University will initiate our collaborative concert this April under support by Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music, Thailand Trade and Economic Office - TTEO, Office of Contemporary Art and Culture (OCAC) สำนักงานศิลปวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัย, College of Music and 國立臺灣師範大學 National Taiwan Normal University within the framework of the Higher Education Sprout Project by the Ministry of Education(MOE) in Taiwan and Thai VietjetAir . “Begins and Beyond” collaborative concert between PYO and College of Music NTNU led by Prof. LIAO, Chia-Hong Drapal 廖嘉弘 as a music director and conductor featuring with Taiwanese composer LIU, Chih-Shiuan 劉芝瑄 and Thai composer from PYO Call for score 2024 together with Symphony No.1 by Ludwig van Beethoven. The concert will take place at Sangita Vadhana Hall, Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music, Bangkok on 20th April 2024 and at Assembly Hall, National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei on 25th April 2024 . Collage d'hommages pour orchestra (2022) -Sofía Rocha The Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music Youth Orchestra, known as “PYO,” has been established with the vision to promote and develop young talented Thai musicians in the skill of orchestral playing since 2013. PYO Call for Score competition was established in 2014 and opened for young native Thai and international composers under 30 years old, to create a piece for orchestral instruments in various concepts which had played in the experiment concert, thematic concert and alongside contemporary repertoire and multimedia.
